If you start a game and no one joins, you must surrender or disconnect to exit. Even when the turn limit comes around, the game does not end. The game should end when you control all the cities on the map or at least when the turn limit is reached. It may not make sense to "win" when there is only 1 player, but you should not have to surrender. Maybe you win and get to keep your SP with no bonus? Or even if the game just says game over... something other than surrender would be more correct.

Well, if you don't want to surrender, you can just quit. The thing is, this is not a single-player game, and being able to 'win' it this way would be a bit unfair, don't you think?

I know it isn't intended as single player game, but if you don't want people to start a game without an opponent, wouldn't you prevent starting a game with only 1 person in the room? Personally, I see it as a good way to try out a strategy or show someone how the game works, and I don't like seeing my number of games played differing greatly from wins+losses. I would hate to have my stats indicate I am frequent disconnecter.

if you play a solo game, you haven't 'won' anything... hard to justify a win when the 'enemy' doesn't fight back. Also, you will get more reward in this game from fighting another player for 5 minutes than you will for conquering neutrals for hours, regardless if you win or lose.
