Well, it seems to me that the two places where competitive play is most shown is in the coalitions and the duels. However, highly skilled clans and duelists intimidate the lower ranked ones from striving to get better in each of these areas. What would the low ranks play for? They can't get trophies because they can't beat the much higher skilled players.
So what do they do?
They play RP and other scenarios to SP farm to possibly get on the top SP leaderboard. This however does not encourage competitive play, and in my opinion it only hurts it.
So what could we do?
I wonder if maybe adding another tier, so to speak, of duelists would add to the competitive scene. In this tier, low ranks could compete for a trophy as well, without the fear of high ranks stepping in.
- Now I realize that this has a few drawbacks:
> The second tier would have to be regulated to the point where the highly skilled players could not participate.
> The second tier would have to be regulated to the point where high ranked alts could not compete.
> I don't exactly know how many low/mid ranks duel, it would have to be checked to see if this is even a worthy addition.
So what do you think?
Is this a good idea? Are there more drawbacks that I haven't mentioned? Maybe I'm just out of my mind thinking this will help the competitive scene?
Let me know below!
