Meh I admire his work, and effort, not his personality.
I'm not stuck in nationalities, but you have a point, at that time, undeveloped shitholes like central and eastern europe submitted to the wills of a central government (Vienna for some and Istanbul for others) wouldnt allow such "brains" to be put to use
1. why is that. what part of his personality made him so repulsive to overshadow his incredible contribution to mankind and his humble quest for free energy for all?
2. you are stuck with nationalities. first of all central europe was not a shithole lmao, Germany (and austria) was a leading country in scientific breakthroughs, it produced scientists like Einstein, Planck, Schrodinger, Heisenberg, balkans were in decline because of the ottoman empire and nothing else and eastern europe, well soviets copied Germanies educational system and was brilliant indeed.
I am just talking about the chances and the opportunities of a scientific mind to thrive in a specific country at the time. For example Einstein had to go to USA because due to the nazi rise at the time, he wouldnt be able to explore and work on his theories. Teslaa found opportunities and funding in the USA at the time which he couldnt at the time.
Want recent examples? How about the CERN in Switzerland? Thousand of scientists from 80 different countries work on the large hadron collider. Iranians, Jews, Asians, Europeans, Americans, Russians, Pakistanis and Indians all working together. A leading experimental physisist came from Iran where he was persecuted. Same with a Greek leading theoretical physisist who fled because of tension with Turkey. CERN gave them all the opportunity to thrive and not their home countries. USA rejected the plan to build a hadron collider there, as a result great minds from america would sit around writing equations on a chalkboard. Instead 12 european countries who funded CERN (including greece and excluding portugal) gave these physisists a chance to work for humanity. Anyway, you get my point, its not really racial imo.

Curious that Portugal didn't fund CERN, our governments probably didnt want it, since University of Porto and University of Aveiro and the Champalimaud Foundation are one of the many institutions at the forefront of science in Europe.
And It's true that US and its freedom of speech and religion, race, etc... (afterall their country was built on inter-racial relations and Iluminist concepts)
