Splitting big countries - yay or nay?

I think Europe is most often played since all starting countries are close. A lot more action happens sooner. Large maps like they are now are a little slow, but once player base increases it will be like risk on crack. I say keep it as its, introduce a new small map...southern islands of some sort. I want to see some BIG navy/Air Battles. I say nay on the vote.

On a serious note it felt like something I cannot put in words, then we played in Asia

But only for some areas of the map...

To make this work wouldn't the move speed need changing? Or even have a more powerfull zoom?

I'm a bit confused, is this basically asking if we want to keep say.. the USA split into regions, or if we want them as one big solid country? Because the way the polls worded makes it sound like it's talking about splitting countries into smaller chunks, but there aren't any really big countries left that could survive a split, so I'm a bit confused.

If you consider that this is an old poll (created before the splitting of big countries), it all becomes clearer
