New Settings for competitive 1v1/3v3

Just changing the funds a little isn't going to do much, we need a fresh new scene, outside of EU 3v3.

15k europe+ 1vs1 = UK vs Turkey every time

Lmao, with 2 initial 15K you've got a giant germany and italy death wall.

Besides, east and west battles become very climatic.

I kind of agree that changing the funds slightly doesn't increase the 'surprise' factor.

Really, I think it's just rivalry that fuels a lot of things. Very solid strong players going at it makes the game fun.
or 2 equally not-solid weak players, that's funny as hell too.

No, it's slight imbalance then the underdog beating the better player. SOoo good when it happens.

3v3/4v4 Eurasia 15k sounds like fun.

Yes I agree. Cow and I have always encouraged different forms of play for europe+ 1v1s, 2v2s and 3v3s. Some say 15k is op, too much money, and is noob-play. I highly disagree. 15k allows for all countries to be good. (like hungary, finland, italy) And plus, it makes expensive strategies playable now. And like Chess mentioned, diversity is better and much more fun.

For an ultimate balanced game with diversity. >15k no upgrades. (or no upgrades and no strategies)

Another one I like is 3k 1min. (Bullet match)

I think that's a great suggestion. I, for one, prefer games where creativity and ability to improvise are important. As you said, the current way competitive games are played leaves little room for this, at least not until the mid-endgame. Changing the format sounds like a good idea and 2 country picks seems like a good way to go.
That said, if this new format just replaces the old format, won't we end up with the same problem? i.e. Once people find the best combinations, it just becomes a question of rehearsing the same openings...
Instead, couldn't there be a range of settings that would be allowed for competitive play? These settings might be shuffled randomly before a match or just agreed upon by the two sides. It seems to me that this would provide for much more diverse gameplay.

No, 1 and 2 min turn times suck because loading and being unsynchronized takes away 30 secs. 30 secs to do your turn? No way.

well maybe not for you. I said one "i like". of course, if you know your connection isn't the greatest, then don't play 1 and 2 mins games.

Haha, alrighty I guess you're right. I like the idea of 15k games. Players have tried it out before though and it never really caught on with the rest of the players.

For 1v1s I guess it will work. However in 3v3s I don't see 2 initial countries working well.

I played some games with more than 1 initial country. And i noticed that not selecting the maximum of countries is a possibility who have the advantage of starting with more cash than other players.

How about a 2v2 25k 2 initial countries, it will be very interesting.

Do Middle East 2v2

I LOVE 5k 2initial, best settings ever. People should use it. Hue I dueled a lot with these settings too.

Nope, it's not an idea about changing the game, but rather changing and making more diveristy in our gameplay habits
