Guys DS is fine as it is.You guys are gonna keep nerfing strategies till only thing that will be playable will be PD.Remember when u cried about RA being op and now after u got your hands on it u fucked the poor strategy up big time? Deja vu! Just because a specific strategy is strong with a specific country in a specific default map area doesnt mean strategy is op! DS is by no means overpowered.In world map either 10k or 50k you cant dominate a good opponent while you being DS...So same logic GW ukraine is op does that mean that we should nerf GW? .....................

Ra was op; 90 cost for 9 attack tanks... thts A1 bullshit right there

Gw ukraine is not as op as people make it out to be, it is very beatable, only no one knows how. Going into 5k, is gw op there too? yes! However, what makes it different is that it doesnt work in all 5k country settings, in fact, it doesnt work in that many. DS on the other hand (outside of volga and ukraine) works anywhere in 5k.

Granted, DS cost is fine if u ask me, and the attack is fine, it just needs to revert back to its original ways. Back then it was more balanced, and was more fair. Quite simple really

But that was actually a good thing, and I'm not used to support Laochra in theses things. I can't find the thread where he posted theses changes because I got him ignorelisted, but I'm sure it's somewhere in the general forums.

If I remember right the change was 2 years ago. But even with it, DS isn't overpowered and defending is still as complicated as ever.

Particularly for this thread I kind-of agree that DS is not the problem but Ukraine itself. In 1vs1, you can make almost any strategy to work there. I still find GC/GW Ukraine to be stronger than DS because theses two are harder to be rushed and easier to expand (most ukr zone is militia so DS bonus against infs can't be used pretty effective there).

In 3vs3, DS UKR is harder because you don't have a crazy expansion zone and your cities are too far to defend your capital easy, plus $550 for a air transport is really a thing. Recapping isn't that easy unless you get funds from your allies, either (Ukr average economy ranges from 1.2k to 1.8k there, about 10 or 13 helis per turn).

So overlooking at the horrendous subjectively-based country comparison and judging DS in the objectively-based niche comparison, it only became stronger in games such as 3k Europe+ because you can defend easier and still rush harder. It still isn't as strong as IF (to win early game) nor as cost-efficient as GW (to win late game) but it is indeed, viable.

No, DS is viable but not overpowered for Spain. LB is still way better for any sort of initial rush and there are more cost-efficient strategies for the lategame.
No, DS is horrendous for Germany.
No, DS is not overpowered in 5k settings and it doesn't beat either IF on power-rushing or GW in lategame.

This is false. You can play it anywhere but it isn't viable everywhere. Particularly for Portugal, Any scandinavian country, Greece, Switzerland, Benelux, and any poor-as-fuck country far from rich countries such as the Caucasus it isn't any good. It is not good either for pretty costly countries such as Northwest or south Russia (or Volga/Ukraine as you pointed out).Other strategies vastly outperform DS there.

Getting rid of the defense would mean that players cant just simply rush balkans with helis as ukraine, because now they cant really hold them that well. This would lead to an increase in thought and strategical thinking as players will have to genuinely think about where and when to rush, and not just rush anything and everything with a gray star/circle on it.

The reason i stated ds ukraine is overpowered before clovis(who claims to have me on ignore) began mudslinging was because of its' performance relative to the other ukraine strats. Heres the thing, i can do a safe uncontestable expansion with ukr, get 35-40(roll dependent) into my cap t3 and have 20 helis nearby for a recap. By the start of t5 i can have over 2k income and 170-180 units in practice almost matching your standard turk t5 unit count. In comparison neither gc, pd gw or sm can match that. Ds expands better than any other strat against neutrals and now with the buffed militia it is worth using up all your reins and spamming them. If turk fails to get some essential tbs and/or cap you by t5/t6 they are usually pretty fucked. Theres stacks of militia on the frontlines to chewthrough and an increasingingly rich ukraine begins producing more and more helis. Again i can demonstrate this in practice.

The thing about the eu+ 5k and 10k meta is that it is a great indicator of how strategies will perform elsewhere. This is due to its unmatched diversity in income ranges and city density. I am not saying that strategies should be changed solely from performance in those settings(people like to tell me regularly thats what i do). For example imp, gw sm and mos need to be judged from other settings as well for a full picture.

The fact of the matter is ds has become a hybrid of a spamstrat and a powerstrat. Being able to dominate with it on africa 3k pretty much says it all really. It is lethal on 5k too. Clovis is right when he says IF is better mathematically. But he fails to take into account the range of ds(more expansion and agression options) and the mobile militia.

I would not wish to see it reverted to its' original state. DS was ok back then and situational but largely underused and considered a troll strat. I believe we should remove the militia bonuses and beta +1 defence for the infantry in cities for a while. -2 crit to inf so its like sm infantry. The bonus would have to be only in cities and defence lines so it doesnt increase ds already formidable expansion contesting capabilities. This would give ds the ability to defend somewhat, it would solve the unit spam issue and stop ds from ruining the meta of the economical strats on low fund settings like Africa.

Edit: i should also mention the unforeseen marine upgrade that was added for helis after the boost. This was actually quite significant as it gives more expansion options.

RA war nerfed because Eagle and Laochra couldnt beat it in europe 10k,or hadnt found a way how to,so instead of rynig to find a way to beat it,they prefered to lick admin ass and cry in forums.RA wasnt by any means overpowered.And after all that dck sucking admins decided to nerf it and made absolute crap.Getting you bankrupt turn 4 and getting no extra attack.

lao and eagle werent the only ones having issues, i played ra and it was quite op, didnt lose a single game i used it. there were plenty of others asking for an ra nerf.. in fact, if you recall, the majority of people did want it nerfed, so it was not just eagle and lao as u claim.

I don't think GW/GC/PD Ukraine is any weaker than DS Ukraine. Generally I would say Ukraine is much stronger than Turkey. Even with None hue.

Gw Pd and are also overpowered, and in the context of eu+ ds ukr will have time to build up a good economy quick enough to kill turkey, trust me, we have all tried and ds players are changing and have found better ways to use it, making it damn near impossible to beat them.... Im not saying it requires no skill, but right now it is super strong on alot of maps and countries

How many times uve played ukr in your 800game long history? Maybe the firsttime i played ukr i wasnt skilled but after hundreds of games as playing it? Im sure thats more than u have ever rushed t3.

Babyboo, I know to play without rushing, but rushing is funny, and these days everyone thinks you play as ds ukraine, or gw, without any rush early game. I only rush in duels btw, cry because i steal your elo :* I don't even know why do i excuse for my playstyle, im playing this game for 4 years, and 3 years im slowrolling, it became boring, that's why basically everyone old left the game, i changed my playstyle and the game is again interesting. You are the last person to hate me here, you never played ukr before DS, i would like to see you playing pd/sm ukr.

I get what you are saying clovis, but the fact is that infantry is one of the most cost effective and useful units in the game for many strategies, for a strategy to specifically wreck those units is a little too strong in my opinion....

Why not? Lets just get rid of all stategies all togather except for PD

Guys DS is fine as it is.You guys are gonna keep nerfing strategies till only thing that will be playable will be PD.Remember when u cried about RA being op and now after u got your hands on it u fucked the poor strategy up big time? Deja vu! Just because a specific strategy is strong with a specific country in a specific default map area doesnt mean strategy is op! DS is by no means overpowered.In world map either 10k or 50k you cant dominate a good opponent while you being DS...So same logic GW ukraine is op does that mean that we should nerf GW? .....................

Im not joking,you're siding with the guy who spent the entirety of my time as a mod spamming the admins inboxes, the forums and anyone whod listen with lies and out of context screenshots in order to try and get me demoted.
