srb and dalmati have historical relevance yes but all their achievements bar their winstreaks have been surpassed by both mk and illy in a much more competitive era. i have watched vids of their games including past well known good players. Gameplay has been refined on europe+ far beyond the level they played at.

In terms or longevity history and consistency nobody atm can touch syndi or particularly stalins, in straight up achievements and gameplay level i would list.

1. MK
2. Illy
3. Stallins
4. Syndi

And theres very little between illy and mk atm. so little. You cant really bring "what ifs" into the equation. If dalmati was still here illy wouldnt exist. If srb was still here i dont even... Personally however id have little respect for srb since they essentially lost to dalmati a few times then gave up and turned troll. Still an important clan in aws history no doubt with many great players who pioneered many of the country/strat combos we use.

btw if clovis doesnt top your troll list its a dud list.

Or you just never experienced it, and don't know what you're talking about. It was a different time in terms of what games mattered. Players ruled normal world games instead of CW's, as there wasn't that many who accepted clan wars. Dalmati did not CW unless they had their best 3 on and had the advantage. SRB never "turned troll" we were always looking for fun, which included trolling, right from the /int/ days and before. Solunae Penticus were completely undisputed on any game, specially with latejoining playing a big role. People actually played World games, and were very competitive about it. This was the days of Dalmati, WBL, and BM all against SRB in world games, with trolling, latejoining, and rule changing in abundance. They would hop their best players from clan to clan to CW SRB. You would see Hugosch from BiteMe! or Pinheiro from WBL hopping to Dalmati for a CW because they couldn't do it alone. Mod clans vs SRB, always and forever. There was no 2 day delay when you left a clan, it was instant.

You could compare that to a clan nowadays going for a good 20 games for a season then never CW'ing again till the season was over just to get a medal, and only CW'ing at an advantage, which I seem to remember people complaining about. "Surpassing achievements" is simply the result of more players and more games.

I'm sure someone from the Dalmati side may have a different story to tell(switch the bad guys and good guys), but both clans were so superior to the rest for years there isn't anything comparable. Both clans are intrinsically ingrained into every movement you do on anything to do with the standard map, from the people you looked up to to the opponents you face. I am basically the embodiment of what is left of SRB on atWar, and I've taught a lot of people and raised many of the opponents you have fought over the little time you've been on AW. Dalmati's remnants have spread their knowledge as well.

My own "Top 10 clans ever!" list would obviously switch Solunae Penticus as #1 and Dalmati #2, while the rest would probably be around what b0nker has. Nevertheless Dalmati and SRB will forever be the top two until the game is updated beyond recognition from the days of old and everyone stops playing the standard map for Cln Wars. First place depends on what side you came from.

Tirpitz and Baut are #1 and #2 imo (in any order). I would throw Autumn in the top-10 as well. State of Mind have some good young players

Just for a bit of fun here are my thoughts on some Top 10's in AtWar. No flame intended all is tounge in cheek and totally my own or the contributers opinions. Feel free to propose some ideas for more to add!




Top 10 Players to watch for the future R8 and below

these are all only done as he says to the best of his knowledge and as he says the list is "for the future" meaning the players on this list are still improving and of course since it is only his opinion he can't know every single low rank and can't watch every game that low rank plays and how much that low rank improves just cause 1 on this list maybe better than another higher up maybe b0nker thinks the ones higher up show the most promise in the long term? (b0nker can correct me if i'm wrong since I ain't a mind reader)

but I must agree with MOU w4r needs to be in this list

Addresing some of your thoughts.

In terms of clans you have to take it into context so anything past 2012 is what will have been significant to myself.

In terms of basing MK and Illy higher in the list than Dalmati/SM/SRB on competence again you have to take this into context, right now the minimum cp gain for a vicotry is 50, there was no minimum for the entirety of Dal/SRB's existance and for 50% of ours put simply for each victory before summer 2013 modern clans like MK Illy would need 3 to yeild the same result! Also for the past year no clan has dominated imo, 2012 my first year SRB / Dalmati dominated, and for the most of last year SM dominated. As regards Biteme, they probably should be on this list but personally I never saw much of them. Obviously if I was to do a list entitled 'Top 10 clans right now' then the order would be different but the list is throughout all time, no doubt in the future it will change, but this is the order I will stick to now.

As regards the upcoming player lists, I wouldn't take the order as important these are just players that I have personally noticed that A) Seem to play 3v3 alot B) Are members of 'competitive' clans C)People I see sticking with the game and D) Seem to learn everytime I play them. I tried to put people on this list that have under 50 clan wars or who are less noticed by the community hense why players like W4r and even chill are not on the list, I wasn't going to include any SM members but felt obliged to!

Troll list is coming please don't flame when it comes up, I think you will be surprised at who is my number1 (remember this is in all my time on AW) any guesses?

Edit: And btw, clearly Serious Clan is the best clan of all time!

I agree JF is one of the most promising player. Guys, JF registered in September and he plays that well already. He will become top player in 2015. I would have given him first place.
