WF a late joiner?

Is it still frowned upon to WF a late joiner? Say you're Turkey in an EU game and late joiner comes in as Cyprus. Or you're England and you had tanks about to hit spain and someone late joined it. Shouldn't that be fair game to WF? It's not round 1.

Most people Wb late-joiners. Personally I wouldnt, but as for sportsmanship "rules" it is ok to Wb anyone after t1

Well, I personnally think that, anyone low enough to late-join SOLEY for the purpose of ruining all your hard work that took you 10+ turns to get to, should definately be WF'd, no 2 ways about it, in my oppinion (why would you LET them have a better chance of destroying you with 30+ tanks/inf. ). Other than that slim circumstance, never WF the 1st turn someone joins, or on turn 1 of the game.

If he join 2 with a real country I wouldn't wf. If he pick a small country next to me turn 5, clearly to rush me I will definitly wf him.

Everyone here seems to have forgotten about one very important detail:

If that late joiner has screwed any of my previous games or has wfed me in the past, then I shall wf him and exterminate him like the little rotten rat that he is.

I know, it may sound harsh, but it's definately the best way to make them understand that no one fools around with you

I think this is answered so... anyone else get paranoid when someone late joins that you attack every single country near you xD

Its fine to wf a latejoiner.

If he pick near you, wf him

If you are more skilled, don't w/f ... if you have to w/f, and he borders you, go ahead, but play games that don't allow late joiners next time.

Fairly simple: If he is picking close enough to be wall fucked: he will mess up ur game so he desserves the wf... if he s sensible in his pick u cant wf him anyway so ... But the real question for me is why would u allow late joiners anyway?? Or even join a game that allows them? Default setting should be 0, not 5 imo, so many beginners dont change that setting without even understanding the consequences...
Only map it KINDA make sense to have late joiner is world, if they pick Africa or south America that is... Anythong else than 0 on eur+ map is an invitation for trolls

Wallfucking first turn = Not good.
Wallfucking late joiners = Good.

Thanks, everyone. I was also questioning this, and have been playing for quite some time. Good advice and the bottom line from what I see is that a couple variables come into play, but end result is yes, yes you may.

WF is a sign of weakness. Only noobs WF. Never WF as soon as people join. The easiest way to solve this problem is to disable late joining by setting the options to allow no one to join past turn 0 or 1.

Honestly, I'd rather face them myself but not WF them as soon as they join... now thats noob. WFing as soon as they join is still noob in my eyes. WFing them later ingame is good.

Now another LOGICAL, better solution is to take the country they select before they formally join. Then you get a nice SP boost, they cannot attack you, and they auto-lose.

Nope, not a challenge at all... I'm not meaning to attack your ideas based on your identity, etc..., but rather based on my own personal opinion. Arguing, as you said, is pointless, so I suggest we drop it from here

WF'ing any one on their first turn is noob. It's like WF'ing your neighbor turn 1 because he picked next to you...

If you know what you're doing, you can easily kill a late joiner by blocking his expansion. Especially in world 50k games.. that's usually where late joining happens.

Yes, quickly attack countries near by and wall surrounding countries, if possible.
