Welcome to Franco's UN Game! The best UN game around! Franco's UN Game is made to be accurate with the teams, unlike the leading brand. In this case, Pakistan and India are not allies, and Taiwan is not aligned since it is not a UN member. This UN has no Swiss Bank as it is boring and useless. This UN game does not have seperate units for each country as that is annoying to play with. This UN Game has more accurate placement of oil fields. This UN game has more conflicts. This UN game has more disputed territory. This UN game is more fun! Starting and First Turn To start, you will need all 20 players in the game. Chose your country carefully. On your first turn, you will notice a few things. First of all, your capital is seperate from any specific country (e.g. Moscow is not the capital of Russia: Central). You may also notice that some territories have a [D] in the name. The last thing you will notice is that oil fields are cities and are not capitals. All of these are on purpose, and I will get to them soon. What should you do on your first turn? You may want to set up defenses in certain places, especially overseas military bases (e.g. Falkland Islands, Guam). If you have someone you plan on killing, you may want to set up offensive troops too. Capital and Military Bases As stated before, your capital does not administer any territory. This is because capitals will instead administer military bases, if you have any. For example, Washington DC is the capital for the military base in Guam. This is because it simply is unrealstic and doesn't make sense to capture a region of a country and suddenly start producing military personnel from the military base there. A more realistic way of doing this is that you must control the capital of the nation to start controlling it's military. One odd thing you may notice about some military bases is that it is on the territory of other countries. This is also on purpose. The country can force you out of that military base whenever it wants, but you may declare war on the country if it does so. Nuclear weapons can be produced from your capital or any military base. Disputed Territory Disputed territory is represented by a [D] next to it's name. There are two types of disputed territory. The first one is disputed teritory which you start with. If you start with this territory, any neighboring nation can declare war on you to regain this territory, but they cannot invade the rest of your territory. They may, however, bomb your cities without taking them. The UN cannot decline this declaration of war, but they must make sure that it does not spill over into undisputed territory. Example: Jammu and Kashmir, Aksai Chin and Northern Areas are all part of disputed Kashmir. India, who owns Jammu and Kashmir, may go to war with Muslim Nations, who owns Northern Areas. They may only fight over the disputed territory. The second type of disputed territory are territories which are neutral at the start. The only two countries like this are Taiwan and Western Sahara. Any country, neighboring or not, can invade these places. They can declare war on any country who takes it and the UN cannot decline this war unless the owner of the territory is already at war. However, the fighting can only be in the disputed territory and cannot be in any other parts of the warring countries. They may however, bomb each other's cities. Oil Fields Oil fields are all cities, instead of all being their own capitals. This is to prevent reinforcement coming from oil fields. Any offshore oil fields are ffa, but onshore oil fields belong to the country who the oil fields fall in. War There are numerous reasons to declare war of which the UN cannot decline, which include:
The UN can end any war if he/she wants to at least 5 turns after the war begins. Both players must end the conflict. When a nation is declared war on, they may ask for another nation to defend their territory. However, the invading nation cannot be invaded by the nation who war was declared upon if they ask for help in defense. Rogue All the above reasons for war do not constitute as rogue, just as an act of war. The following constitute as rogue:
*=Oil fields do not constitute as land. Part of a country that was taken by a rogue does not constitute as that nations land, but must be returned once the rogue nation loses. Bombing another nation does not constitute as invasion. Putting troops in another nation does not constitute as an invasion. Invading land means you have taken a city from another country and have occupied it. United Nations The UN must be rank 6+ and not have a tendency for going rogue. List of rogue/biased UNs (Not complete):
Rules 1. UN may not decline wars for any reasons stated above 2. UN may not invade another nation that is not rogue 3. UN can end any war at any time AFTER 5 turns of it taking place for any reason 4. UN decisions can be overturned if half of the present players chose to overturn it 5. When you declare war, you must do it in public chat and get confirmation from the UN 6. If you are killing units on your land without declaring war, you must inform the UN in a private message first. You do not need confirmations 7. You may not go rogue 8. You do not need UN confirmation to invade a clearly marked disputed territory 9. You may bomb the cities of any nations without occupying/taking them. The nation may declare war on you for this 10. You may attack any stealth units on your territory without informing the UN first 11. UN may not be biased towards any nation for any reason 12. Have fun Thanks for reading!
