One thing I never understood is the reason for going full nl. It makes no sense to me ever lol. Maybe its me dunno. When I go NL I go with 3 infs , yes if someone else rushes I would lose those 3 but I can live with that. The problem with expansion like these are if anyone knows you are going to go so many on nl, they can double rush you killing you instantly. I guess at the end of the day its all about predictability.

NL is invaluable because of its geographic location and capabilities even if reinforcements it provides is limited to 2. It's a lot easier to maneuver around the region with NL being able to produce sea units which is why it's popular and crucial to obtain as UK. This goes both ways for yourself and your enemies. Don't forget the high income.

I agree with this part. I just don't agree with losing so many units in order to acquire it. Its far too risky to lose all units just to get the 2 reinforcements which a lot of people do.

Look at it this way: playing as UK, you're expansion is generally limited to Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark and Norway (including a few others depending the strategy you've chosen). All options provide very little reinforcements, but this does not mean that trying to secure all the listed countries for the maximum reinforcement possible is the best choice. This is because UK is an island and much of the countries require a transport (expensive) to reach, not to mention that some of these countries are located far from the UK (risky). You also need to remember that UK is close to both France and Germany which could be played by an enemy team member (risky+). Thus, spreading all your starting money/units apart by trying to obtain all the countries leaves you with bigger risk as neighbouring enemy players can easily steal them off of you.

Don't forget a lot of players tend to grab Ireland, Belgium and Luxembourg whilst dumping most of their units into the Netherlands.
