Map Troubles...

Ok, so i started drawing venezuela, then decided to add rivers to it. Did the whole draw out the river, then copy, paste, and delete original thing. It was made up of like 4 or 5 countries. When i was done, i thought it didnt look great, so i wanted to restart the whole country. So i deleted all the countries, and the borders, and started drawing new ones. However, when i hit save and i went back into it the next day, only the original drawings were there, and nothing had changed. So, pissed off, i deleted all the countries and borders again, and drew 1 country. saved, came back to look at it, and same thing happened! Tried it one more time, and the result was the same. Someone please help!
